The Beginning

The Beginning

Congratulations!

It is the first article on Lifeis.Cool, my first-ever personal blog.

The very first reason why I started this blog is quite simple.

My team has asked me to write posts on my LinkedIn page about the product/service we are working on, and I didn't want it. Lol

Everyone in the business field would agree that posting on LinkedIn about the company, founder, and product/service to present and raise awareness is like Startup 101 for a company preparing a business for the US/Global market. In this manner, my team's request is like a must-do as a company founder over reasonably acceptable.

However, REBEL inside me didn't allow me to do it.

First, I didn't want to make LinkedIn the first platform for uploading my articles. Since LinkedIn is a Social Media, other postings that I am tagged or I share than mine could be on my timeline.
Instead, I wanted somewhere else solely to write and archive my articles, like a history or library. (LinkedIn posting can be followed after!)

Getting to know about Webflow, a website builder, at that time was a good chance for me. While creating my first and second company's websites using Webflow, I truly fell in love with it! Webflow University is a fantastic guide for Webflow first-timers. They turned boring manuals into entertaining videos. I never saw any tutorial videos like them. (They should consider changing the name Webflow University to Webflix..!)

Some might think I'm too addicted or exposed to Instagram, so I even made my blog like it. But remember, I'm REBEL, I don't even have an Instagram account.
However, I'm a very visual-oriented person; when I saw this template at the Webflow marketplace, I couldn't but buy it because it looked so beautiful.

Buying a domain was the last and most challenging part of this journey.
I tried to buy 'yuri.blog' domain from the owner through GoDaddy concierge, but it failed. 'Lifeis.Cool' was the second option I thought about without using my name in the domain name, I could find the domain and buy it on DAN (a GoDaddy company) easily.
Even though the follow-up process was longer than I expected, everything was successfully set in the end! DAN's customer service was speedy and friendly.

English and Korean will be the two languages I will use in my blog.

Four categories of this blog- Life+Joy, Information+Design, Education+Game, and Fashion+Model- represent my lifelong interest.

Thanks to my team for giving me such an extrinsic burden on LinkedIn posting so that I can end up with the idea of this fabulous blog.

I hope Lifeis.Cool becomes my life-long journal, which will be within my happiness and growth.
